Joseph Addai, RB, IND - Head Injury
Addai left the Sunday night game during the second half with an apparent head injury and didn't return. The severity of the injury and his status for Week 2 is currently unknown.
Marion Barber, RB, DAL - Bruised Ribs
Barber was taken to the locker room for X-rays after being hit in the chest during a carry in the second half of Sunday's game. According to reports X-rays were negative and he has been diagnosed with a rib contusion. His status for Week 2 is currently unknown.
Tom Brady, QB, NE - Possible ACL Tear
Brady left Sunday's game against the Chiefs in the first quarter after being hit in the leg and did not return. The team has said that his left knee was hurt and it appears that the injury is severe. He is scheduled to undergo an MRI on Monday morning. There are unconfirmed reports that Patriots' players have indicated that Brady has in fact torn his ACL and several media outlets have released reports saying that Brady is out for the remainder of the season. We will know more on Monday evening.
Drew Bennett, WR, STL - Undisclosed Leg Injury
Bennett was hurt during Sunday's game and after being examined on the sideline he was carted to the locker room. The severity of the injury and his status for Week 2 is currently unknown.
Nate Burleson, WR, SEA - Sprained Knee
Burleson injured his knee during Sunday's game and according to reports he has been diagnosed with a sprain. He was seen with his knee wrapped in ice after the game. The severity of the injury is currently unknown however head coach Mike Holmgren didn't appear to be optimistic when asked if Burleson would be available next week. He is scheduled to undergo an MRI tomorrow.
Dallas Clark, TE, IND - Undisclosed Knee Injury
Clark left Sunday night's game against the Bears with an injury to his right knee. The severity of the injury is currently unknown and his status for Week 2 is in question.
Brodie Croyle, QB, KC - Separated Shoulder
Croyle left Sunday's game after hurting his shoulder and he did not return. He has been diagnosed with a separated shoulder and he will miss the next two to four weeks. He was seen wearing a shoulder sling after the game and we should know more after he undergoes an MRI on Monday morning.
Chris Johnson, RB, TEN - Undisclosed Leg Injury / Possible Cramps
Johnson briefly left Sunday's game with what appeared to be a leg injury. He was seen being stretched and his legs were massaged on the sideline so there is speculation that he just suffered from cramps, but we should know more about his status later on today.
Maurice Morris, RB, SEA - Undisclosed knee Injury
Morris left Sunday's game after hurting his knee in the first half. He was examined in the locker room and did not return to the game. The nature and severity of the injury is currently unknown and we should know more about his status for Week 2 after Monday morning's MRI.
Mike Nugent, PK, NYJ - Undisclosed Leg Injury
Nugent appeared to be hurt on a kickoff in the first quarter and aggravated the injury while attempting a field goal a few minutes later. He missed portions of the game but he was able to get back on the field for a PA attempt. The nature and severity of the injury is currently unknown and his status for Week 2 is in question.
Ben Roethlisberger, QB, PIT - Bruised Shoulder / Hyperextended Knee
Roethlisberger injured both his shoulder and knee during Sunday's game but neither injury kept him from playing and he told reporters after the game that he was fine. The exact nature of the injuries is unknown, but it looks like he will be OK.
Donte Stallworth, WR, NO - Strained Groin
Stallworth pulled his groin while taking part in Sunday's pregame warm-up. The medical staff tried to get him ready for the game but he was unable to play. The severity of the injury and his status for Week 2 is currently unknown.
Vince Young, QB, TEN - Torn MCL
Young left Sunday's game after hurting his knee in the second half and did not return. He was later seen moving about on crutches and he has since been diagnosed with a torn MCL and could be out anywhere from two weeks to one month. He's scheduled to undergo additional testing on Monday.
