The Huddle staff makes it's weekly picks every Thursday. Picks are based both on which team will actually win the game and also which team will cover the spread. Spreads and picks are not adjusted beyond the initial values from Wednesday of each week.

An aggressive Buffalo defense against a J-ville OL missing its' entire interior? Good luck staying upright, Garrard. Bills not only cover -- they win outright. It will be a tough game, but giving Buffalo 6 pts is an early Christmas gift.

Ken in NJ - I lost my ash the last 4 times I bet against the Giants on the road at the end of last season. You only have to beat this dog with a shovel so many times before he gets the message. I'l ltake my chances. By the way, did you happen to catch any of the Rams game last week? Betting on that team under any circumstances may denote a self destructive syndrome, which thankfully nobody on staff is afflicted with.

Steelers are going to put the Browns in their place. BOTTOM of the division. We will see Brady Quinn by week 7. Steelers by at least 13.

Ravens @ Houston. c'mon now! Not ONE person picked Ravens? BALT Defense is better than PGH. I agree it's on the road and Cincy is worse than HOU, but not ONE pick?? Could BAL secondary shut down Schaub a bit more than PGH? I'll take 4.5 pts too.
