This is a brief recap of the injuries occurring during Sunday's games. A complete detailed injury report will be published on Tuesday.

Deion Branch, WR, SEA - Heel Injury

Branch suffered what appeared to be a right heel injury in the first quarter and he played the remainder of the half. But he did not play in the second half. The severity of the injury and his status for Week 6 is currently unknown.

Chris Chambers, WR, SD - Undisclosed Leg Injury

Chambers was carted off the field with an undisclosed leg injury in the third quarter. The severity of the injury is currently unknown but team officials are concerned that he could be out for an extended amount of time.

Trent Edwards, QB, BUF - Concussion

Edwards was knocked from Sunday's game with a concussion and he did not return. The severity of the injury is currently unknown but team officials are hopeful that he will recover in time for their next game in Week 7.

Brian Griese, QB, TB - Bruised Elbow

Griese left Sunday's game in the third quarter with a swollen elbow and did not return. The injury is currently being called a bruise but he is scheduled to undergo an MRI on Monday. His status for Week 6 is unknown.

D.J. Hackett, WR, CAR - Sprained Knee

Hackett injured his knee on the opening kickoff and he was unable to finish the game. The severity of the injury and his status for Week 6 is currently unknown.

Matt Hasselbeck, QB, SEA - Hyperextended Knee

Hasselbeck suffered a hyperextension of his right knee on the fourth play from scrimmage. He left the game momentarily but was able to play until well into the third quarter when he was relieved. The severity of the injury and his status for Week 6 is currently unknown.

Jon Kitna, QB, DET - Lower Back Spasms

Kitna began to suffer from lower back spasms just before the end of the first half on Sunday and he was pulled from the game. He wasn't playing well before the injury and with the Lions down big the team decided to keep Kitna on the bench. The injury does not appear to be serious and the team expects him to be available next week.

LaMont Jordan, RB, NE - Undisclosed Leg Injury

Jordan left Sunday's game after hurting his leg in the second quarter and he did not return. The severity of the injury and his status for Week 6 is currently unknown.

Dan Orlovsky, QB, DET - High Ankle Sprain

Orlovsky injured his ankle late in Sunday's game but he was able to leave the field at the end on his own. Team officials are calling the injury a high ankle sprain, but the severity of the injury and his status for Week 6 is currently unknown.

Eddie Royal, WR, DEN - Sprained Ankle

Royal turned his ankle while returning a punt in the third quarter and had to leave the game. The severity of the injury and his status for Week 6 is currently unknown.

Matt Schaub, QB, HOU - Undisclosed Illness

Schaub fell ill late on Saturday and team officials decided to start Sage Rosenfels instead. Schaub was officially active but he did not play. The exact nature and severity of the illness has not been made public and his status for Week 6 is currently unknown.

Tony Scheffler, TE, DEN - Groin Injury

Scheffler suffered a groin injury in Sunday's game and was unable to finish. He will be re-evaluated on Monday and his status for Week 6 is unknown.

Brian Westbrook, RB, PHI - Fractured Ribs

UPDATE: Reports Monday morning state that Westbrook suffered two fractured ribs in Sunday's game. HC Andy Reid did not clarify in his Monday news conference whether Westbrook would be able to play this week. "We'll just have to see," the coach said. "We'll see how things go here the next few days. He's sore."

Selvin Young, RB, DEN - Groin Injury

Young suffered a groin injury in Sunday's game and was unable to finish. He will be re-evaluated on Monday and his status for Week 6 is unknown.
