Sunday Injury Report - Week 7

This is a brief recap of the injuries occurring during Sunday's games. A complete detailed injury report will be published on Tuesday.

Plaxico Burress, WR, NYG - Finger Injury
Burress reportedly aggravated a torn tendon in his pinky during the game Sunday. He'll be re-evaluated as the week progresses to determine his status for week 8.

Reggie Bush, RB, NO - Arthroscopic Knee Surgery / Torn Meniscus
According to reports Bush will miss the next 3 - 6 weeks as he is scheduled to undergo arthroscopic surgery on his left knee. Bush injured his knee late in the first half and he did not finish the game. Team officials have said that he tore the meniscus in his knee.

Jerrico Cotchery, WR, NYJ - Undisclosed Injury
Cotchery was in and out of the lineup and limited to just one catch for zero yards after suffering an undisclosed injury in the first half. The severity of the injury and his status for Week 8 is currently unknown.

Brodie Croyle, QB, KC - Possible Torn ACL
Croyle left Sunday's game after hurting his knee in the second quarter. There is speculation that he tore his ACL and Head coach Herman Edwards has already told reporters that Croyle is done for the year. He's scheduled to undergo an MRI on Monday.

Devin Hester, WR, CHI - Undisclosed Quadriceps Injury
Hester left Sunday's game after hurting his quad muscle in the third quarter. He had a bag of ice wrapped on his leg and he sat on the bench for the remainder of the game. It is unclear if he suffered a bruise or strain, but he is scheduled to undergo an MRI on Monday. His status for the team's next game in week 9 (after their bye) is unknown.

Ike Hilliard, WR, TB - Concussion
Hilliard had to be carted off the field after being knocked out early in the second quarter of Sunday's game. Hilliard was hurt when he took a helmet-to-helmet hit after making a catch. He did not return to the game. The seveirty of the injury is currently unknown but it looks like he may miss at least a week.

Damon Huard, QB, KC - Undisclosed Thumb Injury
Huard left the game in the fourth quarter after hurting the thumb on his throwing hand. He did not return to the game. The severity of the injury and his status for week 8 is currently unknown.

Steven Jackson, RB, STL - Strained Quadricep
Jackson left Sunday's game after pulling his quad muscle in the fourth quarter. He was carted back to the locker room and did not return to the field. The severity of the injury and his status for week 8 is currently unknown however QB Marc Bulger said in an interview after the game that the team expects Jackson to miss the next 2 weeks.

Keith Rivers, LB, CIN - Fractured Jaw
Rivers will miss the remainder of the season after breaking his jaw in the first half of Sunday's game. He is scheduled to undergo an MRI and additional testing on Monday but the team believes that he is done for the year.

Jeremy Shockey, TE, NO - Sports Hernia
Shockey aggravated his sports hernia injury early in the first quarter and although he stayed in the game he says that he may miss next week's game. Shockey went onto express his frustration and displeasure with the team's medical staff who he claims misdiagnosed the injury in training camp.

Roy Williams, DB, DAL - Fractured Forearm
Williams will miss the remainder of the season after refracturing his right forearm in the third quarter. X-rays in the locker room confirmed the nature and severity if the injury and he will go on Injured Reserve sometime over the next couple of days.

Do not trade Smith. Looks at his yards for the last 5 weeks..every week his stats have gone up and now he is catching TDs. The running game will not hurt his stats in any way. 8 in the box means 1 on 1 coverage. Dump V JAX..he will not be higher than where he is right now

Jay if you start 3 WR then trade Smith. He only recently had a good game and his stock is up. In addition he is on a team thats runs runs runs. RB's-- Moore M, deuce mc.

Try to trade V Jack and D Avery (sell highs) for an MJD type (buy lows).
