Prediction: TEN 10, IND 16
Here's a game that just doesn't matter. The Titans are locked in as the #1 seed in the AFC and the Colts are the #5 wildcard seed. No changing either. No reason to get anyone injured though both teams will give lip service to wanting to keep players sharp. This is why week 17 should not be used for fantasy championships. Any projections for either team is
The Titans won 31-21 when the Colts visited in week eight.

Pregame Notes: Nothing to prove this week and facing a well-known opponent on the road means nothing but plain vanilla offense and getting players healthy for the playoffs. This mostly means letting LenDale White heal up and undoubtedly yanking Chris Johnson before he gets injured. The Colts plan on resting some defensive players like Dwight Freeney and Bob Sanders so the Titans scrubs may play well.
Quarterback: Kerry Collins will play for at least a half and maybe more but in most games he has a full complement of running backs to take most the workload and that won't be the case this week. And of course there is no reason to show anything but the most basic passing plays anyway.
Collins passed for 193 yards and no scores against the Colts.
Running Backs: Chris Johnson may have helped you reach your league championship but he's not going to be a lot of help this week. The Titans may suit him up and play him but there is virtually no chance that he takes a full load and plays the entire game. The same holds true for LenDale White who needs the rest anyway.
Johnson gained 77 yards on 19 carries with one score against the Colts this year and added 19 yards on four receptions. White only gained 13 yards on ten carries but scored twice in the game.
Wide Receivers: This would have been a decent week to start the Titans wideouts since the rushing game will be unreliable and the Colts could end up resting some defensive backs but there's no sense of wanting to win this game and the Titans could opt to give more playing time to little used wide receiver depth players. These players were unreliable when it counted, now that it doesn't ignore them all together.
No Titans wideout had more than 35 yards against the Colts this year.
Tight Ends: Same thing here - Bo Scaife will play and could be there the entire game but he's not reliable enough to consider for a fantasy start.
Scaife caught five passes for 44 yards when the Colts visited this year.
Match Against the Defense: No need speculating when neither team cares. The Colts will rest defensive players but the Titans could be resting the offense as well.

Pregame Notes: The Colts are in a precarious position since they have nothing to win and a playoff game looming the next week. But their history has them losing their first playoff game in the last three years. A big reason why has always been that they got soft from sitting around. But - why get anyone injured? The Colts have already talked about letting Freeney and Rhodes take it easy. No doubt all the stars will have an easier day if they even play.
Quarterback: Expect Peyton Manning to play for maybe a half or so. The Colts were burned twice in the last three years by losing their first playoff game so there is a fear of getting at all rusty but certainly better rusty than injured. Manning is not a safe play this week and will give way to Jim Sorgi at some point.
Manning passed for 223 yards and two scores in Tennessee this season.
Running Backs: Dominic Rhodes and Joseph Addai both could use a week to rest and need to be sharp for the road game to face the AFC West champion. Chad Simpson will likely end up as the primary running back if only later in the game.
Rhodes gained 70 yards on 17 carries in Tennessee this year.
Wide Receivers: No doubt that Marvin Harrison will sit out this week but at some point Reggie Wayne will either bow out or be used so little that the results are the same. Anthony Gonzalez will likely remain for the full game so if you HAD to have a Colts wideout, he's actually as close to safe as it gets - and that ain't much.
No wideout gained more than 29 yards in Tennessee.
Tight Ends: Dallas Clark had his blowup game in Tennessee this year when he gained 94 yards on seven catches and scored twice. Same song here - play at the risk he does nothing this week. Not a bad spot to let Gijon Robinson get some work.
Match Against the Defense: All speculation since the stars won't likely play much.
