now I am just that jackass who double posts. but another option would be larry foote

Hate to be that guy but D Ryan plays Ten this week.

Who would you start R Harper or K Ellison
25 pt/tackle
10 pt/assist
150 pt/ sack
200/ int

Harper is playing as of thurs night a guy who was not even on an nfl roster mind you with familiarity of the system and at home. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
thanks

Gil,
Why do you think Ellison at 35 is to low? I actually think he is to high. Marcus Buggs is the backup to Poz and will replace him in the base defense. Fwiw, that isnt opinion it is from their D coordinator. Ellison saw a ton of action in the nickel and dime versus the Pats multi WR sets...dont expect that sorta production versus the Bucs.

Ellison as 35 is way too low IMO.

Is Ray Edwards Ranked 12 or 34?
Bob

I didn't see him on the field on 3rd downs and I think you need to be a 3 down player to be in the top 10. I cut him and picked up James Laurinaitis because I didn't see him on the field for 3rd downs instead it was #53 Thomas Howard (9 Tackles) & #57 Ricky Brown (7 Tackles) I think he did have a dislocated elbow in preseason. Mike's right about the long season but I'm in a keeper league and I think Laurinaitis might end up with more points

Kirk had dislocated his elbow during preseason, he was not playing every "down" in week 1 and he is typically and every "down" LB, so this leads me to believe he is still hampered by his injury and isn't playing at 100%. I would lower or drop your expectations of him, not allot, but some.

I agree with Darin. I have been doing IDPs for only 3 ro 4 years but I have learned they are inconsistant. However by the end of the year, the studs will have the most points. So I drafted Jarred Allen, Ryans, Willis and Adrian Wilson, Wilson and Allen had bad games in week 1 but they they are studs, I will use them every week, unless a bad trend starts to rise, but 1 game does not a seaon make.

Thanks for the kind words. These rankings, as with any site's fantasy rankings (IDP or otherwise), are strictly meant as a guide. Ultimately, it's up to you to decide who to start.

Kirk Morrison finished as the #7 LB (in "traditional" IDP formats) last season.

Yes, he had a poor Week 1 outing. Should we automatically drop him significantly in our rankings because of one game?

Last season, during the Raiders/Chiefs Week 2 game, he scored 17.5 fantasy points, racking up 5 solos, an assist, a sack, pass defended, and interception.

I don't see anything that would indicate he's banged up.

Anything else?

The Huddle still has Kirk Morrison listed at # 6 overall in the LB position? Kirk had 2 tackles last week. I was hoping for more info from the Huddle, but they seem to lack info or knowledge within IDP. Can someone else tell me if Kirk Morrison is still banged up or should be listed this high?
