This is a brief recap of the injuries occurring during Sunday's games. A complete in-depth injury report will be published on Tuesday.

Marion Barber, RB, DAL – Strained Quadriceps

Barber was hurt during the fourth quarter Sunday night and was unable to re-enter the game. The injury doesn't appear to be serious but he'll be re-evaluated on Monday to determine the severity.

Mike Bell, RB, NO – Sprained MCL

According to reports Bell is scheduled to undergo an MRI either tonight (Sunday) or tomorrow after suffering an MCL sprain in Sunday’s game. The severity of the injury is currently unknown but there is concern that he could be out for at least 2 games.

Bernard Berrian, WR, MIN – Undisclosed Injury

Berrian left Sunday’s game after getting hit hard on a catch. He was able to return and finish the game. The injury does not appear to be serious and he should be fine for Week 3.

Glenn Coffee, RB, SF – Hip Pointer

Rookie Glenn Coffee suffered a hip pointer (hip contusion) in the second half and did not return to the game. The severity of the injury is currently unknown and his status for Week 3 is unknown.

Frank Gore, RB, SF – Sprained Ankle

Gore torched the Seahawks’ defense for over 200 yards rushing before leaving the game late with a sprained ankle. The team is calling the sprain minor. HC Mike Singletary said, "Frank's going to be fine." after the game. But he is scheduled to undergo a precautionary MRI and we should know more about his Week 3 status when the results are made public.

Matt Hasselbeck, QB, SEA – Undisclosed Rib Injury

Hasselbeck left Sunday’s game after reportedly hurting his ribs on a big shot from LB Patrick Willis. He was able to leave the field on his own, but he did not return to the game. He was taken to the hospital after complaining of severe pain and discomfort in the rib area. According to reports X-rays were negative but the CT Scan (more detailed X-ray that shows cross sectional views of structures) was inconclusive. He has since been released from the hospital and has been diagnosed with bruised ribs. His status for Week 3 is questionable.

Domenik Hixon, WR, NYG – Knee Injury

Hixon left Sunday night's game in the first half and was unable to return. He'll be re-evaluated on Monday to determine the severity of the injury and his playing status for week 3 is uncertain.

DeSean Jackson, WR, PHI – Groin Injury

Jackson was hurt during the fourth quarter of Sunday's contest and was unable to finish the game. The injury doesn't appear to be serious but he'll be re-evaluated on Monday to determine the severity.

Greg Jennings, WR, GB – No Apparent Injury

If you didn’t watch the game and you took a look at the box score you’re probably thinking Jennings left today’s game with some sort of injury after being held to zero catches. But he didn’t appear to suffer an injury and he was in for the entire game. He dropped an early pass but he wasn’t targeted very often until very late in the game. He was limited in practice last week because of a wrist injury but it isn’t clear if that injury affected his performance today.

Lance Moore, WR, NO – Strained Hamstring

Moore left Sunday’s game with a strained hamstring and did not return. The severity of the injury and his status for Week 3 is currently unknown.

Muhsin Muhammad, WR, CAR – Sprained Ankle

Muhammad left Sunday’s game in the second quarter with an ankle injury but he returned to the game in the second half and had several catches. The injury does not appear to be serious and he should be fine for Week 3.

Shawn Nelson, TE, BUF – Shoulder Injury

The Buffalo rookie was injured Sunday and was unable to finish out the game. He'll be re-evaluated on Monday to determine the extent of the injury and his availability for this week's game.

Jerious Norwood, RB, ATL – Head Injury

Norwood was knocked out of Sunday's game after taking a shot to the head. He did not return and will be re-evaluated on Monday to determine the severity of the injury.

Clinton Portis, RB, WAS – Undisclosed Leg Injury

Portis limped off the field in the second quarter after suffering an undisclosed leg injury. He returned to the field in the second half and he appeared to be OK. The injury does not appear to be serious and it shouldn’t keep him from playing in the team’s next game.

Derek Schouman, TE, BUF – Knee Injury

Schouman was injured Sunday and had to be carted off the field. Initial reports are that there is no structural damage to the knee, but he'll be examined further on Monday.

Steve Smith, WR, CAR – Sprained Ankle

Smith injured his ankle just before halftime. But after getting treatment and having it taped in the locker room he was able to return in the third quarter and he ended up having a big game. It looks like he is OK.

Brian Westbrook, RB, PHI – Sprained Ankle

Westbrook reportedly sprained his ankle in today’s game against the Saints. The severity of the injury and his status for Week 3 is currently unknown.

Troy Williamson, WR, JAC – Shoulder Injury

Williamson injured his shoulder in the first half of Sunday's game and was unable to return. He'll be re-evaluated on Monday to determine the severity of the injury and his playing status for this week's game.
