This is a brief recap of the injuries occurring during Sunday's games. A complete in-depth injury report will be published on Tuesday.

Marc Bulger, QB, STL – Bruised Shoulder

Bulger left today’s game with a bruised shoulder and did not return. He’s scheduled to undergo an MRI on Monday. His status for Week 4 is currently unknown.

Frank Gore, RB, SF – High Ankle Sprain

According to early reports Gore will miss at least 2 weeks after leaving Sunday’s game with a high ankle sprain. X-rays in the locker room were negative and it was initially reported as a “tweak” but it appears that the injury could keep him out for an extended period of time.

Peyton Hillis, RB, DEN – Undisclosed Head Injury

Hillis left Sunday’s game after taking a shot to the head. It isn’t clear if he suffered a concussion and his status for Week 4 remains unknown.

Laurence Maroney, RB, NE – Undisclosed Thigh Injury

Maroney injured his thigh in the first half of Sunday’s game and he spent a lot of time on the sideline. The severity of the injury and his status for Week 4 are currently unknown.

Chad Pennington, QB, MIA – Undisclosed Shoulder Injury

Pennington was knocked down and suffered a shoulder injury in the second half of Sunday’s game. He also had a laceration on the bridge of his nose that occurred on a carry in the first half. The nature and severity of the injury is currently unknown but there is concern that he could miss at least one game.

Laurent Robinson, WR, STL – Undisclosed Leg Injury

Robinson left Sunday after suffering what is being called a leg injury and did not return to the game. The severity of the injury and his status for Week 4 are currently unknown.

Kevin Smith, RB, DET – Undisclosed Shoulder Injury / Knee Injury

Smith left in the 4th quarter of Sunday’s game after hurting his shoulder. He also appeared to injure his knee in the first half, but he played through it. The severity of the injuries and his status for Week 4 are currently unknown.
