This is a brief recap of the injuries occurring during Sunday's games. A complete in-depth injury report will be published on Tuesday.

Brendon Ayanbadejo, LB, BAL – Torn Quadriceps Muscle

Ayanbadejo left Sunday’s game with a torn left quadriceps muscle. He’s scheduled to undergo an MRI to determine the severity of the tear but there are reports that the injury could end his season. At the very least he will miss an extended period of time.

Kevin Boss, TE, NYG – Undisclosed Leg Injury

Boss appeared to injure his knee while making a catch in the first half and he spent additional time in the locker room getting treatment at halftime. There are reports that he injured his ankle but the Giants have not confirmed this. The nature of the injury is currently unknown, but he did play the entire second half so the injury is probably not serious.

Correll Buckhalter, RB, DEN – Sprained Ankle

Buckhalter left Sunday’s game in the third quarter with a sprained ankle. The injury looks serious but a final determination will come after further examination. His status for the team’s next game is currently unknown.

Devin Hester, WR, CHI – Undisclosed Neck/Shoulder Injury

Hester left Sunday’s game after hurting his neck and shoulder in the first half and did not return. There are reports that he suffered a stinger but according to local news stations the injury is specific to his neck. The exact nature of the injury remains unknown but team officials don’t believe the injury is serious.

Johnny Knox, WR, CHI – Undisclosed Knee Injury

Knox left Sunday’s game with an undisclosed knee injury and did not return. The severity of the injury and his status for the team’s next game is currently unknown.

Eli Manning, QB, NYG – Undisclosed Heel Injury

Manning suffered a non-contact heel injury in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s game. He stayed in for one more pass but he limped off the field afterwards and did not return. The exact nature and severity of the injury is currently unknown but he admitted that he felt a “pull” in his Achilles/heel area. We should know more after he undergoes testing.

Zach Miller, TE, OAK – Concussion

Miller left Sunday’s game with a concussion and did not return. The severity of the concussion is currently unknown but his status for Week 5 appears to be in doubt.

Adrian Peterson, RB, CHI – Sprained Knee

Bears’ RB Adrian Peterson suffered what team officials are calling a sprained knee in Sunday’s game. The severity of the injury and his status for the team’s next game is currently unknown.

Matthew Stafford, QB, DET – Knee Injury

Stafford appeared to twist his knee on Sunday and he was unable to finish the game. The initial diagnosis is a dislocated knee cap and the severity of the injury will be determined after he receives an MRI on Monday.

Roy Williams, WR, DAL – Undisclosed Injury

Williams missed the team’s final drive on Sunday because of an undisclosed injury. The nature and severity of the injury are uncertain, but he was injured on a hard hit to his midsection and was only able to go for a single play following that big hit before taking himself out of the game.
