This is a brief recap of the injuries occurring during Sunday's games. A complete in-depth injury report will be published on Tuesday.
Donnie Avery, WR, STL – Hip Contusion
Avery injured his hip in the second quarter on Sunday and had to leave the game. He was examined on the sideline, diagnosed with a contusion and did not return. His status for the team’s next game is currently unknown.
Anquan Boldin, WR, ARI – Sprained Ankle
Boldin left Sunday’s game with a sprained ankle and did not return. The injury does not appear to be serious and according to reports he was held out as a precaution with the Cardinals leading comfortably. His status for Week 7 remains unknown.
Daunte Culpepper, QB, DET – Strained Hamstring
Culpepper pulled his hamstring in the first half and tried playing through the pain and discomfort, but he was replaced play Drew Stanton at halftime. The Lions have a bye in Week 7 so he has an additional week to rest and recover. His status for Week 8 remains uncertain.
Trent Edwards, QB, BUF – Concussion
Edwards left Sunday’s game with a concussion and did not return. If you watched the hit it appeared that his knee injured but according to team officials his head is the only thing of concern. The severity of the injury and his status for Week 7 is unknown.
Joe Flacco, QB, BAL – Bruised Foot
Flacco’s foot was stepped on twice during Sunday’s game and he was seen limping after several plays in the second half, but he stayed in the game and nearly led the Ravens to a comeback victory. The injury does not appear to be serious and with the Ravens on a bye in Week 7 he has plenty of time to recover.
Percy Harvin, WR, MIN – Undisclosed Shoulder Injury
Harvin was active for Sunday’s game but he appeared to re-injure his shoulder in the fourth quarter. The exact nature and severity of the injury is unknown and his status for Week 7 remains unclear.
Brandon Jacobs, RB, NYG – Stinger
Jacobs missed a large portion of the game on Sunday with a stinger and he was limited to just 7 carries and 33 yards. His status for Week 7 is currently unknown.
Sammy Morris, RB, NE – Undisclosed Knee Injury
Morris left Sunday’s game with a left knee injury and did not return. He was unable to put pressure on his leg as he was being helped off the field. The nature and severity of the injury is currently unknown and we probably won’t find out what happened either. His status for Week 7 will likely be announced on game day.
Adrian Peterson, RB, MIN – Sprained Ankle
Peterson left Sunday’s game with what appeared to be a bad ankle sprain. But after being examined by trainers he began jogging and he was quickly back on the field with the offense. According to early reports Peterson’s ankle was swollen after the game. The severity of the injury and his status for Week 7 are unknown.
Steve Smith, WR, CAR – Undisclosed Knee Injury
Smith left Sunday’s game with an undisclosed knee injury but he was able to return on the next drive. He was targeted only 5 times and was held to just one catch. Team officials are claiming that Smith’s knee is fine and that his injury has nothing to do with his poor production.
Lofa Tatupu, LB, SEA – Torn Pectoralis Major Muscle
According to reports Tatupu tore his pec muscle on Sunday and he will miss the remainder of the season.
LenDale White, RB, TEN – Undisclosed Leg Injury
White was carted to the locker room after hurting his leg in the second quarter. The severity of the injury and his status for the team’s next game is currently unknown.
