Welcome to The Huddle’s IDP Sleeper Report. Here, you’ll find some potential sleepers, who may or may not be on your league’s waiver wire. Hopefully we can target a few key guys to get you in the playoffs and finish strong. We’ll take a peek back at last week’s picks to see how our guys panned out. Good luck this season and feel free to email me at email@example.com if you want to suggest a player or discuss my picks.
James Anderson (CAR): Looks like it might be Anderson, not Dan Connor, that will get the majority of the snaps as the WLB for the poor Panthers. Good matchup against the G-men this week.
Brandon Siler (SDC): If he’s somehow available in your deeper formats, grab him for this week against Chris Johnson and the Titans.
Other to Consider: Jeremiah Trotter (PHI)
Juqua Parker (DE – PHI): Just a gut feel, but the Eagles’ D will be disrupting the Bronco offense all game. We like Jeremiah Trotter (mentioned above), to make some plays, along with Parker, who doesn’t put up huge stats, but does have 6.5 sacks on the season and may get to the Bronco QB a few times Sunday.
Brandon Mebane (DT – SEA): Bit of a deeper pick here, but Mebane has a couple of 8-point efforts in the past two weeks, and may get his first full sack this week against a Packer OL that allows a ton of action in the backfield.
Other to Consider: Jarvis Green (DE – NEP)
Tom Zbikowski (S – BAL): Love the name, love his chances at 14-15 points this week against the Steelers. Now that he’s getting regular playing time, he’s been putting up moderately good stats. This trend should continue.
Sheldon Brown (CB – PHI): Brown has been on fire over the past 3 weeks and will be busy against Brandon Marshall and the Broncos this week. He tweaked his ankle last week, but should be good to go.
Other to Consider: Aaron Rouse (NYG)
WEEK FIFTEEN REPORT CARD
Clark Haggans (ARI): 4 solo tackles, 3 assisted tackles, 0.5 sacks (12.5 fantasy points). Not surprisingly, the ex-Steeler got himself a sack against the Lions. Haggans is again a good pick this week against the Rams.
Chris Chamberlain (STL): Chamberlain was a good bet to get looks with Paris Lenon hurting, but no such luck. Blah.
Dan Connor (CAR): Like Chamberlain, Connor was to get increased looks, especially after a huge Week 14. No such luck. Keep your eye on him for next season, though.
Greg White (DE – TBB): 3 solo tackles, 1 assisted tackle (7 fp). Par for the course with DL sleepers this year.
Pat Williams (DT – MIN): 1 solo tackle, 1 pass defensed (3.5). See above.
Corey Williams (DE – CLE): 3 solo tackles, 1 forced fumble, 1 pass defensed (9.5 fp). At least this Williams came to play!
Marvin White (S – DET): 7 solo tackles, 2 assisted tackles, 1 pass defensed (17.5 fp). White will continue to have value as long as he’s starting for the Lions.
Drayton Florence (CB – BUF): 3 solo tackles, 1 assisted tackle, 1 pass defensed (8.5 fp). Corners are hard to gauge, fantasy-wise. Unless you’re a mega-stud. Florence isn’t a mega-stud, but will have value in very deep leagues.
Tyrone Carter (S – PIT): 4 solo tackles (8 fp). We thought he’d step up with Polamalu still out, and he did have a big, 18-point game last week. He’s a good bet this week though.
